"Bees" bento: Bees made of yellow rice balls, wings made of carrot, faces and stripes made of nori. Hotdog, meat loaf, cucumber and carrot slices, bees chocolate for dessert.

"Zebra" bento: sauteed bean sprouts, breaded chicken, scrambled egg flower, tomatoes, "zebra rice. For zebra deco: nori sheet and cheese

"Ladybug" bento: sausage with egg, carrot and cucumber slices, tomato, red and yellow cherries, "ladybug" rice, for rice deco: nori sheets for head and spots, cheese and nori for eyes, pasta spaghetti for antennas

"As salaam alaikum" bento for Eid al adha day: Couscous, chicken nuggets, tuna and lettuce shawarma, vegetable salad, egg cupcake

Too much left overs in the fridge, so I prepared this quick and easy bento for dinner: rice balls with different toppings (spam, boiled egg, sausage and kani) cucumber salad and fresh fruits in season. For condiment, I prepared soysauce with mirin, sesame oil and a dash of sugar.

"Cheer up" bento for a very stressed kid at school: fried rice with green peas, blanched broccoli, baby back ribs barbeque, sunny side up egg, cucumber carrot flowers for deco, corn pastillas and slices of yellow watermelon for dessert

Another simple bento for Buwan ng Wika Competition (Sulkas Tula): onigiri with Philippine flag pick, cordon bleu, carrot and tomatoes, Caesar salad dressing. Mabuhay ang Pilipinas!

Pinoy bento: rice ball, salted duck eggs courtesy of my child's project in TLE, tomato and cucumber slices, ketchup-mayo for dressing, then wrap up everything with banana leaves for more traditional Filipino touch

Ground pork with oregano and basil, kangkong with barbeque sauce, onigiri and raisin bun for dessert

A store is on sale today so i bought this rice ball pack for my bento: rice ball, buttered mixed vegetable, shrimps and a slice of balimbing

"I don't want to go to school bento": sleeping teddy bear rice, blanket made of fried egg (underneath is ground pork with potato and carrots), fresh carrot, fresh cherry and tomato heart

Today is a busy day for my kids, my eldest has piano recital, while my youngest has a competition on journalism, so i made these simple bento for them just to show my support:

Bento version 1 for a piano recital: pork BBQ with sesame dressings, vegetable salad with cherry tomatoes and sugar beet sprouts, "ants-on-stick" (celery and raisins), fresh cherry and rice, nori for decoration

Bento version 2 for journalism competition: same components as above, rice pencil decoration: cheddar cheese, burger cheese, carrot and nori

Chicken nuggets, fish tofu, kani, vegetable salad with carrot, boiled corn, blanched beans with sesame salad dressing, and minion-inspired violet rice

Rushed epic failed bento 😬: Today the supposed theme was "bees" but my kid is already late for school so the bees were made without faces and antennas. I also used yellow food color instead of turmeric for rice to make the bee's body but it turned out to be very pale.
